Senior Category Manager, Electrical
Crusoe — Arvada, Colorado, United States · In-Person · Senior · $120k - $145k/yearly
Role description
Role Overview
The Category Manager, Electrical owns the electrical spend category—including switchgear, PDC components, cable/wire, and specialized electrical hardware—end-to-end at the strategic layer. This role is accountable for the why behind our supply chain strategy—setting up the frameworks, agreements, and Approved Vendor Lists (AVL) rather than processing daily purchase orders.
What You Will Do
Maintain deep intelligence across electrical categories, track supply base capabilities, pricing benchmarks, actual lead times, and capacity constraints. Own the electrical Approved Vendor List (AVL), conduct rigorous vetting, and maintain a defensible, scored qualification rationale for every entry. Apply framework models to classify electrical categories and build a 12–24 month category roadmap with dual-sourcing options.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of industrial electrical equipment, excels at drafting defensible category strategies, and proactively mitigates single-source and lead-time risks before they impact build schedules.
