Role Overview
The Designer & Detailer (Mechanical/Structural), Modular R&D will produce detailed mechanical and structural models and drawings for the factory to build from, with a focus on speed and scale. The team is working on key problems such as taking modular data center designs from engineering concept to fabrication-ready packages, detailing structures, skids, and piping systems, and absorbing rapid engineering changes without losing revision control.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities will include producing detailed mechanical and structural models and drawings, detailing steel and mechanical systems to fabrication level, and turning engineering changes into updated drawing packages in days, not weeks.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have experience detailing for fabrication, model to standards, and handle revision storms without version chaos. Bonus skills include knowledge of Tekla or Advance Steel, plant and BIM modeling, AWS weld symbols, and AISC detailing standards.
