Role description

Role Overview

The Electrical Engineer, Modular R&D will design and engineer the electrical systems of a modular data center product, including power distribution, grounding, and controls integration. The role requires hands-on experience with complex physical products, modular construction, and critical facilities. The engineer will work across disciplines, resolving integration problems where electrical meets structure and mechanical.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer, Modular R&D will include designing electrical systems, supporting production launches, and iterating fast without losing configuration control. The engineer will work on complex problems, such as moving data center construction from the field to the factory and resolving collisions between electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical systems, supported production launches, and designed for factory install, not field construction. The engineer should be able to work across disciplines, resolve integration problems, and iterate fast without losing configuration control. Bonus qualifications include a PE license, fluency in electrical codes and panel standards, data center power distribution experience, and electrical CAD mastery.

Requirements

  • Engineered electrical systems hands-on for complex physical products, modular construction, or critical facilities
  • Supported production launches of own designs, from first article through repeat builds
  • Designed for factory install, not field construction
  • Worked across disciplines instead of throwing problems over walls
  • Iterated fast without losing configuration control
  • PE license
  • Fluency in electrical codes and panel standards (NEC, UL 508A)
  • Data center power distribution experience
  • Electrical CAD mastery (AutoCAD Electrical, Revit)
  • Strong DFM instincts

Benefits

  • Pay equity and transparency
