FluidStack — Austin, Texas, United States · In-Person · Junior
Role description
Role Overview
We're a team building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, and we're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop the mechanical side of data center robotics. The role involves engineering end effectors, docking, and interfaces between robots and plant, as well as designing physical integration and prototyping fast and testing hard.
What You Will Do
As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll design mechanical systems for robotics, automation, and mechatronics products, take hardware from prototype through reliability testing, and work in fast loops with controls and software.
Why It Might Be a Fit
We're looking for exceptional people who care deeply about the problem space and can work in fast loops with controls and software. Bonus skills include end effector and gripper design, GD&T depth, DFM at low volume, and server and rack hardware familiarity.
Requirements
- Designed mechanical systems for robotics, automation, or mechatronics products
- Taken hardware from prototype through reliability testing
- Designed interfaces and tolerances that survive the real world
- Tested to failure on purpose and instrumented everything
- Worked in fast loops with controls and software
Benefits
- Pay equity and transparency
