Security Engineer, Network
FluidStack — Austin, Texas, United States · In-Person · Junior
Role description
Role Overview
As a Security Engineer, Network, you will design and defend the network security architecture across data centers, corp, and cloud, and build network detection and automation. You will work on securing the frontier of AI, where model weights training on our infrastructure are the most valuable and most targeted artifacts in technology. You will own the entire security program from scratch, end to end, bare metal to boardroom, as we scale across continents.
What You Will Do
Your key responsibilities will include designing segmentation for environments that mix IT, OT, and high-value compute, deploying and tuning NDR or flow-based detection that found real intrusions, and automating network security controls so new sites inherit the architecture on day one. You will also partner with network engineering without becoming the department of no.
Why It Might Be a Fit
We are looking for people who care deeply about this problem space and have a passion for building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI. You will be part of a team that values extreme ownership, full autonomy, velocity, and first principles, and you will be expected to work long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.
Requirements

- Designed segmentation for environments that mix IT, OT, and high-value compute
- Deployed and tuned NDR or flow-based detection that found real intrusions
- Worked infrastructure-as-code: firewall rules live in a repo, not a GUI
- Partnered with network engineering without becoming the department of no
Benefits
- Pay equity and transparency
- Confirmation email once application has successfully been accepted
