Role description

Role Overview

Lead the quarterly and annual global income tax provision under ASC 740, including current and deferred taxes, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, tax-rate reconciliations, journal entries, and disclosures. Own the tax close calendar and coordinate timely, complete data from Accounting, FP&A, Consolidations, and other stakeholders.

What You Will Do

Prepare and review legal-entity forecasts, annual effective tax rate analyses, cash-tax projections, and interim provision updates. Direct outsourced federal, state, local, and international income tax compliance, including extensions, estimated payments, information returns, and foreign statutory or tax-return requirements.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Manage income tax audits and notices by developing fact patterns, coordinating information requests, tracking positions and exposures, and escalating material judgments. Build scalable tax processes, documented review controls, and evidence suitable for a rapidly growing company preparing for public-company reporting and SOX expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or a related field
  • Active CPA license strongly preferred
  • Eight or more years of relevant corporate tax experience, including public accounting and/or an in-house tax role in a complex multi-entity business
  • Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740, US GAAP tax accounting, and financial-statement tax disclosures
  • Solid US federal corporate tax foundation and experience overseeing multi-state and international income tax compliance through external advisers
  • Working knowledge of international tax concepts, transfer pricing, and intercompany transactions
  • Experience coordinating audits, technical analyses, and cross-functional projects with incomplete data and competing deadlines
  • Strong analytical, review, and project-management skills, with the judgment to distinguish routine execution from matters requiring escalation
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters to finance and business stakeholders
  • High ethical standards and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information

Benefits

  • Generous cash & equity compensation
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents
  • Wellness and commuter stipends for select roles
  • 401k Plan with 2% company match (USA employees)
  • Flexible paid time off plan that we all actually use
