Role Overview
The role owns the search infrastructure as a product, responsible for setting the quality bar and release criteria, owning depth, latency, and cost tradeoffs, and shaping the direction of the index.
What You Will Do
You will set what good means for each use case, decide what to build and what to leave, and defend it to both engineers and customers. You will also shape where our index goes next, have a view on where search infrastructure is heading, and make tradeoff calls alongside senior search engineers.
