Role Overview
Lead the Nebius Managed Kubernetes (mk8s) Core team, responsible for the API, service control plane, cluster autoscaling, platform integrations, and running k8s add-ons. As a team lead, you will be hands-on, writing and reviewing code, leading projects, and participating in on-call rotation, incident mitigation, and post-incident analysis.
What You Will Do
Optimize the service control plane, integrate cluster autoscaling approaches, provide a Kubernetes-native way to use local disks, and deliver managed Layer 7 load balancers to reduce operational overhead for customers.
Why It Might Be a Fit
You will be responsible for managing 4–8 mid-to-senior engineers, providing context, coaching, and regular feedback. You will also collaborate with the Product Manager and Service Owner to shape product vision and plans.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering or management experience
- Excellent knowledge of Golang
- Expertise with multi-month technical projects, tech leading engineers, and owning multi-month technical projects
