Role Overview
The Senior Manager - Export Controls and Customs Compliance will support the Director, Third Party Risk and Export Controls in delivering the export controls and third party risk programme. The role will own day-to-day delivery of export licensing compliance oversight of the logistics and customs chain through which our GPU estate moves.
What You Will Do
The Senior Manager will conduct export compliance risk assessments, manage export licence and End User Certificate portfolio, support enhanced due diligence and ownership and control analysis, and produce a weekly regulatory horizon scan.

Requirements
- Hands-on experience of the United States Export Administration Regulations and of United Kingdom export controls, covering licensing, classification, and end-use and end-user analysis.
- Software and technology export classification experience, including ECCN determination under the United States Commerce Control List, UK and EU Dual-Use equivalents.
- Experience of sanctions regimes applied across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience with governance, risk and compliance and due diligence screening tools, for example LexisNexis Diligence, Dow Jones Risk Center or equivalent.
- Hands-on customs and trade operations compliance, including commodity classification, Incoterms, importer and exporter of record structures, customs valuation and country of origin.
- Experience designing or running third-party audits, ideally including logistics providers, customs brokers or freight forwarders.
- Demonstrated ability to operationalise requirements through process, tooling and training rather than written advice alone.
- Sound judgement in a rapidly evolving environment, and the confidence to hold a position with senior stakeholders.
