Role Overview

Vultr is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Linux Administrator to handle challenging issues and support our ever-expanding global customer base.

What You Will Do

Mentor and train Junior System Administrators and System Administrators, lead technical projects, manage incident response activities, and perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience administering enterprise Linux environments
• Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and security best practices
• Proficiency in Bash, Python, or other scripting languages used for automation and infrastructure management
• Experience deploying and managing virtualization platforms and containerized workloads, including Kubernetes and Libvirt
• Familiarity with networking technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, and DNS
• Experience configuring and supporting web servers, databases, caching solutions, and distributed storage platforms such as Ceph
• Working knowledge of Cumulus Linux, PHP routing, and related infrastructure technologies is a plus
