Staff Product Manager - Billing
Lambda — Bellevue, Washington, United States · Remote · Staff+
Role description
Role Overview
As a Staff Product Manager - Billing at Lambda, you'll own the full monetization surface, partnering daily with finance on revenue correctness, with platform engineering on the metering and billing pipeline, and with go-to-market teams on how pricing and packaging show up to customers. You'll define product requirements for per-minute usage metering across Lambda's on-demand GPU fleet, including accuracy standards, reconciliation, and how the system behaves during instance lifecycle edge cases.
What You Will Do
You'll own the Metering Pipeline, Build Billing for Both Motions, Protect Billing Accuracy, Drive the Credits and Invoicing Lifecycle, Make Pricing Changes Shippable, Extend Billing Through the Lambda Cloud API, and Extend into Commerce as a Platform.
Why It Might Be a Fit
You'll work with finance and go-to-market teams to launch pricing and packaging updates quickly without compromising revenue integrity. You'll also work to productize dimensions like Fraud detection and prevention, managing bad debt, and other financial tradeoffs.
Requirements

- Turn usage patterns, revenue reports, and support tickets into a clear decision about what to build next, and why now
- Win engineers, designers, finance partners, executives, and customers over to your ideas by making the case, not by outranking them
- Have taken products from ambiguous problem statement through launch, measurement, and iteration, repeatedly
- Are comfortable reasoning about distributed systems concepts that billing correctness depends on, such as event pipelines, idempotency, and reconciliation
- Can work fluently with finance stakeholders on revenue recognition, invoicing, and audit requirements without losing the customer's perspective
- Able to define iterative plans that move an organization from the current state towards the desired outcome
Benefits
