Principal Enterprise Technology Architect
Crusoe — San Francisco, California, United States · In-Person · Staff+ · $225k - $255k/yearly
Role description
Role Overview
As a Principal Enterprise Technology Architect, you will own the technical vision for how our internal business systems connect, scale, and evolve. You will design the unified architecture that connects our mature, capable platforms running Finance, Construction and Operations, and People, and define the path forward for current platform limitations. You will serve as the primary technical evaluator during software procurement, vetting vendors on API robustness, data model flexibility, and security compliance. You will also participate in Architecture Review Board discussions, ensuring major system changes align with enterprise standards and reference architecture.
What You Will Do
You will spend the majority of your time designing systems, producing ERDs, context diagrams, and sequence flows, before a single line of configuration is written. You will lead technical discovery for all major system initiatives, producing high-fidelity artifacts that serve as the source of truth for implementation. You will also assess current platform limitations and define the path forward, including when to optimize, when to re-platform, and when to build a custom integration layer.
Why It Might Be a Fit
We are looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved. You will be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, and you will have the opportunity to grow your career alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.
