Role description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and resilient Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager to lead our critical infrastructure monitoring and incident response teams at our data center in Glomfjord. The NOC Manager will oversee a 24/7/365 team of engineers and technicians, ensuring that system anomalies are detected instantly, communicated clearly, and resolved rapidly.

What You Will Do

The NOC Manager will lead, develop, and manage a 24/7/365 Network Operations Centre team, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, coaching, and career development. They will oversee the day-to-day operation of the NOC, ensuring the continuous monitoring of network infrastructure, servers, customer environments, Building Management Systems (BMS), and critical data centre infrastructure.

Why It Might Be a Fit

This role balances strategic leadership—driving process improvements and automation—with hands-on technical guidance during high-pressure incidents. The NOC Manager will act as the primary operational escalation point for critical (Tier 3+) network, infrastructure, and facility-related incidents.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience managing or leading a team within a NOC, Technical Assistance Center (TAC), or critical data center environment.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Deep understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.
  • Certifications (Highly Desirable): CCNP/CCIE, Juniper JNCIP/JNCIE, ITIL Foundation or higher, or relevant cloud/Linux certifications.
  • Strong proficiency with enterprise-level monitoring, SIEM, and ticketing tools (e.g., Jira Service Management, ServiceNow).
  • Understanding of data center physical infrastructure (UPS, cooling systems, power distribution) is a major plus.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to help shape the operating standards behind a next-generation AI cloud platform
  • Real ownership and impact in scaling high-performance, sustainable data centre operations
  • Chance to play a meaningful role in a fast-moving environment
