Role Overview

Vultr is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Platform Engineer - Cloud Native to harden and scale the infrastructure powering Vultr's global cloud platform.

What You Will Do

Build and maintain production-grade automation using Ansible Terraform and Go, develop and enhance core services, engage deeply with Kubernetes internals, design implement and improve container runtime integrations, and troubleshoot complex issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure
• Strong experience with Kubernetes administration and internals including scheduler kubelet and CRDs
• Proficiency in Go and scripting languages (Python Bash) for automation and tooling
• Deep knowledge of container security including image scanning runtime isolation and admission control
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform Ansible) and CI/CD pipeline design
• Familiarity with observability stack (Prometheus Grafana alerting) and incident response practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills across networking load balancing and distributed systems
