Role Overview
Lead the engineering and operations team responsible for Vultr's cloud storage portfolio, overseeing the design, deployment, and operation of block, object, and file storage services across all global regions and performance tiers.
What You Will Do
Drive architecture decisions, ensure five-nines availability, durability, and performance SLAs, integrate and operationalize third-party storage solutions, optimize storage systems for AI and HPC workloads, and collaborate with product, infrastructure, and customer success teams.

Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in storage engineering, with 3+ years in engineering management
- Deep expertise with Ceph and distributed storage architectures in production environments
- Experience building and operating multi-tenant cloud storage services at scale
- Strong understanding of block, object, and file storage protocols and performance characteristics
- Experience with third-party enterprise storage platforms (DDN, VAST, Weka, NetApp) is a strong plus
- Knowledge of high-performance storage optimization techniques for AI and HPC workloads is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
