Role Overview
We're looking for an Environmental Manager to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves owning the facility's air permit program, EPCRA Tier II reporting, and SPCC spill prevention program. You'll also be responsible for standing up and maintaining an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and serving as the primary liaison to various environmental agencies.
What You Will Do
As an Environmental Manager, you'll track permit conditions, runtime limits, and emission thresholds, complete record-keeping and emissions reporting, and manage sampling labs, consultants, and disposal vendors. You'll also be responsible for managing and developing environmental specialists and serving as the primary point of contact for state or county environmental agencies during inspections or audits.
Why It Might Be a Fit
We're looking for someone with a technical background in environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field. You should have experience managing an air permit program, EPCRA Tier II reporting, and an SPCC program, as well as standing up or maintaining an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. Bonus points if you have ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification, Title V or synthetic-minor air permit experience, or a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or Registered Environmental Manager (REM) credential.
